- Fishing & Fisheries
- Beekeeping
- Outdoor Living Skills
- Campfire Cooking (includes wild game and fish)
- Leadership
- And more!
Airfield Teen Leadership Council:
While not considered a SPIN Club, the Teen Leadership Council (TLC) is a 4-H program managed and administered by the Airfield 4-H Program Director and Extension Agents within the 4-H Southeast District. The program begins at the end of the summer camp season and ends before the following summer camp season.
TLC aspires to develop both leadership and teamwork skills while promoting opportunities for individual growth for teens at each 4-H Educational Center across Virginia.
More specifically, the Airfield TLC is designed to be developed, managed, and implemented by teens who are accepted into the Council. TLC is intended to prepare teens for leadership roles in their future 4-H career, academic career, and professional career. TLC members will learn how to run and participate in formal board meetings, hold offices, and vote on decisions that will affect their communities in a positive way to improve social problems the communities may face. TLC members will also learn fiscal responsibility by developing and implementing a fundraiser, raising money for the TLC Camp, and managing the funds for the TLC t-shirt orders.
