Unleash Learning and Adventure at 4-H Summer Camp
Surrounded by the beautiful Airfield Lake, the Airfield 4-H Center serves as the host site for 4-H Junior Camp for children ages 9-13. The Airfield 4-H Center serves 16 localities in Southeastern VA. The center offers eight weeks of sleep-over camp with a capacity for more than 1,600 children and teens each season. Approximately 210 campers, teens, and adults can be accommodated per week.
4-H Junior Camp
4-H Junior camp allows campers to gain independence, and confidence and “learn by doing” experiences through hands-on experiential programs. New classes are developed and implemented each camping season.

Life Skills and Fun
In addition to structured classes being offered each morning, afternoon and evening programs help the campers develop life skills while having fun. A multitude of additional recreational activities are also incorporated into the camping program. Don’t miss out on our traditional Airfield campfires which are rich in tradition, while teaching campers valuable character traits through inspirational skits, songs, stories and competitions.
